The Garden Blanket® employs the same advanced wavelength filtering as our professional silviculture products; the mulch filters out the blue/green portion of the light spectrum that weeds require for photosynthesis, preventing their growth. Unlike some other mulches that can burn your plants at contact areas, Garden Blankets® transfer heat through the mulch to the soil. This both stimulates root activity and growth earlier in the morning, and keeps roots warm and growing longer into the evening, by raising the soil temperature to the right range for growth. The micro-perforations in Garden Blankets® allow the transfer of water and the soil to breath. Water retention is improved as the mulch inhibits evaporation , and drip style irrigation can be placed under the mulch to improve resource management by as much as 85%.

Cost effective, Garden Blankets® come with appropriately spaced crosscuts for your plants, and can either be used as a continuous roll or as individual sections by using the conveniently located tear-offs.
