Expect
the unexpected, as art is to be found everywhere
in White Rock.
Stroll past the Station Arts Center
on Marine Drive and enjoy the many wares of our local
artisans. Painters, potters, carvers, photographers
and more line the seaside boardwalk to share their
vision of the beauty of White Rock.
Throughout the
summer, artisans and artists
have ample opportunity to display their works in exhibitions,
shows, and community events.
In addition to the many excellent White Rock Art Galleries, the
White Rock / South Surrey Art Society offers
one week workshops that take place annually throughout
July and August. The White
Rock Summer School of the Arts is taught by instructors
who are from all over North America and who are signature
members of prestigious art societies and recipients
of many awards.
The White
Rock Arts Council "strives to raise the standards
of cultural achievements in the area by broadening
the horizons and the scope of the community through
the interchange of art forms and ideas."
