an emerging multi-talented jazz vocalist was brought up
listening to music around the family home. Her love for
music enticed her to start writing songs at the age offive
and singing at the age of nine. To strengthen and further
her musical ability she began playing guitar as a teenager. |

Eroca's
appetite for new ideas and styles of music enticed her
to travel throughout Europe, Asia and Africa playing at
various venues. Upon return to Canada, Eroca continued
playing clubs, lounges, festivals and coffee houses throughout
British Columbia.
Eroca's musical journey took her to the Banff School
of Fine Arts where she received instruction in vocal,
dance and drama. This lead her to receive numerous film
and stage credits. Eroca attributes her musical style
to artists such as Billy Holiday, Joni Mitchell, Judy
Collins, Joan Baez and Barbara STreisand, which were her
early influences. In 1988, Eroca wrote and produced her
own independent children's tape "The
Man in the Moon" which sold out completely.
Eroca's "Once
in a Lifetime" CD was conceived while
performing various dinner theatres. After each performance,
Dancer would unwind by writing songs for her debut CD.
Later, she met up with future collaborator Don Thompson,
a multi-talented producer and songwriter. Their project
attracted four members of the elebrated group, Skywalk,
and together they created a superlative album. Dancer's
sweet, sensuous vocal style combined with the magical
live performances of Don Thompson, Rene Worst, Daryl Bennet,
Tom Keenlyside and Miles Black have made this CD a timeless
piece of art.
Eroca is currently perfoming live in Lower Mainland venues
as well as teaching voice, guitar and keyboard from her
home music school. Be sure to see this dynamic and charming
jazz vocalist whose perfomances never disappoint. |
